Wheaton, Illinois · DuPage County Seat
Historic and mid-century homes deserve a careful hand. Rugs, upholstery and carpet — tested first, priced before we start.
Local & Family-Run
Wheaton is the DuPage County seat, home to Wheaton College and Cantigny Park, and full of houses with character — historic homes near downtown, solid mid-century ranches and colonials in every direction. It's some of our favorite work, because older Wheaton homes tend to have pieces worth caring for: wool rugs, upholstered chairs from another era, furniture that was built to last.
Older pieces deserve a slower approach. Before we clean anything delicate, we look at the fiber, the dyes and the construction, and we test a hidden spot. Most vintage upholstery and wool rugs clean up beautifully; the few that shouldn't be wet-cleaned get an honest answer, not an experiment.
What We Clean in Wheaton
Area rug and upholstery cleaning lead in Wheaton — wool and oriental-style rugs, mid-century sofas, dining chairs that have hosted decades of holiday dinners. Carpet work is steady too, especially staircases and upstairs bedrooms in older two-stories where the carpet is due for its first deep extraction in years. Mattress cleaning is a common add-on when guest rooms get refreshed. Prices are published on the cards below — what you see is what we quote. We also handle the pieces that don't fit a category — headboards, office chairs, a beloved reading chair. Send a photo and we'll tell you honestly what it needs.

On The Job
A typical Wheaton visit mixes old and new: a wool area rug from the front room, a mid-century armchair that needs a gentle hand, and carpet on the stairs and landing. We take our time on the delicate pieces, test first, and tell you what to expect before we start. Most rugs and upholstery are dry by evening. Wheaton jobs often end with a question about a piece we weren't hired for; we're happy to look and give a straight answer on the spot.

Wheaton FAQ
In most cases, yes. We assess the fiber and dyes first and choose the gentlest effective method. If a rug is too fragile or valuable for in-home cleaning, we'll say so plainly.
Usually very much so. Older furniture was often built better than new. A careful deep clean can add years of life; we test a hidden area first to be sure the fabric agrees.
Yes — downtown Wheaton, the college area, out by Cantigny and everywhere between. Wheaton is a short drive from our Naperville base.
